Yes, we guarantee our goods for 3 years against product faults and some of our fabrics are covered for longer periods of time depending on the material chosen. Our warranty does not include cover for user error and general wear and tear.
Blinds 2000 HB branch covers the whole of Hawkes’ Bay, so this includes Central Hawkes’ Bay and their beach areas and also up to Wairoa and Mahia. Our Taupo branch covers as far as Mt. Ruapehu and all around the lake. Consultants regularly drive between HB and Taupo and can service areas along those routes. Some of those hard to reach areas are scheduled differently from our local areas and can require some patience at booking stage.
At Blinds 2000 we sell a wide variety of products and all have their varying manufacturing timeframes. At the time that you receive a quote, you will receive a current schedule of timeframes for the various products that we offer. If you need a product urgently, just give us a call and we can tell you our current lead times so that you know whether to proceed with a quote.
For manual or battery operated blinds or shutters – all structures need to be in place before we can facilitate a measure. Windows and reveals need to be installed and preferably their architraves as well (for shutters or blinds that are to be fixed to the framework rather than inset within the window frames).
For hardwired motorised blinds and shutters - please contact Blinds 2000 once the windows and reveals are installed but the Gib is not. The electrical wiring to the blinds are hidden behind the Gib so it is really important that we site visit prior to Gib boarding to provide your electrician with blind electrical leads. We will then return to site once your build is complete to install and connect the motorised blinds to the power leads. We are happy to liaise with your electrician to provide a smooth service.
For exterior product – awnings and exterior blinds or Ziptraks® - we will need the structure in place before we can provide you with an accurate measure and quote however, we can come on site earlier for advice if you are struggling with ideas for an area.
All product can be measured from plans but you will need to visit our website to provide us with the correct product that you would like a quote for. Roller blind fabrics come with varying price tags so it might be worth popping into our showroom and selected a fabric first before we quote off plans for you. This will encourage a more realistic quote.
In order to provide a quote, you will need to email us your name and address of property, your floor plan and your window schedule. We will require to know what windows that you are interested in and what product you would like at what windows. All quotes are usually complete within 48 hours.
Blinds 2000 are extremely clean, don’t create dust and take our rubbish away with us. Most clients who have renovated or built like to have their house and windows cleaned before we install our product so basically we should be the last trades people on-site.
If you would like us to remove your blinds and dispose of them for you, we are happy to do this. It is important that you request this from us at your quote consult or prior to installation so that we allow our installer sufficient time to do so. In some circumstances we charge for this service. We are happy to dispose of your old window product for you – we strip the product down and recycle what we can and dispose of the rest.
If you have curtains in good shape that you no longer require – these can be dropped off at charity shops for re-use in the community. The Red Cross has a curtain bank and advertise that they are looking for good condition curtains. If you are no longer mobile – we can do this for you.

Nearly all product that we offer comes with motorised or cordless operations. They do come with an extra hike in price but they also come with other features and peace of mind. For example, our motorised roller blinds not only have no cords but can be linked to a smart hub so that you can run your blinds off timers or control them remotely as well as by remote control when at home. Our manufacturers supply to the Australian and USA market where there is a huge demand for child and pet safety innovation.

for oddly shaped windows, you are limited to three products – the sloped vertical, the sloped venetian and the shaped shutter. The sloped vertical and venetian can go on windows that have one side sloping only (therefore 2 x 45 degree angles and 2 x varying angles). The shaped shutter however can be custom designed to fit any shaped window be it round, octagon, oval and so on. Basically, if we can draw it, we can make it.
